Outreach staff specialize in establishing connections between  people and the the natural heritage of the western forest complex.  Outreach activities include:

  • Leading teacher training workshops with regional k-12 educators to facilitate development of environmental education curricula that draws upon the world class outdoor learning opportunities of the Western Forest Complex and Huai Kha Khaeng-Thung Yai Natural World Heritage Site.
  • Networking with local, regional and national newspaper and television media staff to provide accuate information about the unique natural heritage of the Western Forest Complex and Huai Kha Khaeng-Thung Yai Natural World Heritage site.
  •  Hosting school groups from throughout Thailand for 2-5 day stays at the Huai Kha Khaeng-Thung Yai World Heritage Site. These experiences provide students with hands-on instruction in wildlife track identification, birdwatching, and slideshow presentations detailing the world-class wildlife research taking place in the Western Forest Complex and the exemplary system of patrolling and protection.
